Born in downtown lost angeles, tucked away in the harlem place alley, Lost Souls Cafe is a 2400 square foot venue designed to combine the sophistication of an art gallery with the liveliness of a neighborhood café & lounge. Lost Souls Cafe features exceptional art by local emerging artists.

AVAILIBILITY:
Lost Souls Cafe is available each day and evening for breakfast/lunch meetings, board meetings and off-site business, as well as wedding receptions, birthdays, fundraisers, as well as other parties and receptions.


PRICING:

Rental rates start at $50 per hour for a partial space rental, and $200 per hour to rent the entire space and close to the public. The purchase of food or beverage packages may offset some rental costs, depending on your budget. We pride ourselves on being friendly to every budget, negotiating beyond our standards when necessary.


ENTERTAINMENT

When you enter our doors, you enter a whole new reality.  Our 2400 square foot café is already set with a house entertainment system (turntables, PA system, lighting) and a coffee house/lounge vibe.  Our menu caters to the breakfast, lunch and after dinner crowds.  Beer and wine bar is on its way.

We are located at 124 W. 4th St, in the Harlem Place Alley of Downtown Los Angeles, in the heart of the Old Bank District. There is streetside parking and parking lots off of Spring, Main, and 4th St.

ART SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
 

Lost Souls Café is always on the lookout for art that would like to be shared in a creative space filled with creative, independent folks who would like to share their soul.  We have the setting for souls to find their way. 

If you are considering submitting your work for review, we recommend you spend some time at our venue to understand the space, the type of art we carry, and our vision.  Our review committee meets once a month to review portfolios.

Lost Souls focuses on progressive art at an affordable price point (<$3000).
We will consider:
                                    Traditional paintings
                                    Sculpture
                                    Photography
                                    Limited installations or conceptual pieces

Lost Souls receives a 30% commission for all sold or rented work.

Submit 10 – 20 slides of available work.  Label each work with your name ad details of the work.  Digital images can be submitted on CD ROM or URL; please provide an accompanying Word document with a list of each piece and its details.  Photographs will also be accepted and is preferred, but must be clear and of good quality.  Include a resume/bio, cover letter, and a statement about your art.  If you submit a URL make sure that these documents are posted online or you will not be considered for submission.  Also please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with any slide or CD submissions.  Electronic portfolios or Web site links can be e-mailed to eventbooking@lostsouls.com.

Lost Souls respects and appreciatea the creative process, but not all art is a balance for Lost Souls Café.  The work received is reviewed for its originality, technical quality and its ability to enhance the Lost Souls vision.  Refer to our website: www.lostsouls.com to see what we are about.

Review process can take anywhere from 2-10 weeks.  Please be patient, as we want to give your portfolio full consideration.  We will keep your fill and work on file for any future shows. If your work is selected for further review, we will arrange a meeting to see the originals.
